Austin V. Knapp

Austin Knapp is a native of Kingsport, Tennessee. He earned his Juris Doctor from the Florida State University College of Law in May of 2015. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the College of Social Sciences and Public Policy at The Florida State University, graduating cum laude, in 2011.

During law school, Mr. Knapp worked for the Florida State College of Law Public Interest Law Center in the Children’s Advocacy Division where he represented underprivileged children in administrative hearings against the State of Florida. Additionally, Mr. Knapp interned with the Davidson County District Attorney’s Office in Nashville where he assisted in the prosecution of criminal cases in the General Sessions Courts of Davidson County.

Mr. Knapp was admitted to the Tennessee State Bar in December 2015. Prior to joining McCarter & Beauchamp, he represented numerous clients throughout the Middle Tennessee area primarily practicing in the areas of family law, criminal defense, and probate. He has a demonstrated history of litigating domestic law issues ranging from divorce to paternity actions. He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, The Tennessee John Marshall Chapter of the American Inn of Courts, and the Nashville Bar Association.
